John is a member of the McCombs (MBA) and Jackson School of Geosciences (MS Energy & Earth Resources) Classes of 2018. He is focusing on energy finance, natural gas markets, and impacts of the growth in LNG exports. In addition to being VP of Treks for Venture Fellows, he is VP of Entrepreneurship for the Longhorn Energy Club (LEC) and a member of the Energy Finance Group (EFG) and Graduate Business Adventure Team (GBAT).
Prior to McCombs, John worked in energy investment banking and consulting where he advised both private and federal clients on a range of financing opportunities and operational improvements. He also served on active duty as a Ground Intelligence Officer in the Marine Corps and continues to serve as a Reserve Officer. Originally from Garden City, NY, John graduated from Princeton University in 2007 with a BA in History and Certificate in Near Eastern Studies.
