Margaret Mercer

VP Treks

Margaret is a member of the McCombs MBA Class of 2025, concentrating on entrepreneurship and venture capital. In addition to serving as VP of Treks for Venture Fellows, Margaret is a Board Fellow, providing strategy and consulting support for the Girl Scouts of Central Texas. She is also a recipient of the Forté Fellowship for women in business.

Prior to McCombs, Margaret spent eight years working in Digital Strategy and Marketing in New York City. She started her career at WarnerMedia, managing paid social and branded content campaigns for truTV, Cartoon Network, and Adult Swim. Most recently, she worked at Anheuser-Busch, leading social listening and trendspotting for Budweiser and Bud Light.

Margaret is passionate about the food and beverage industry and is excited to be interning at Springdale Ventures where she will be focused on investments in consumer products. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Margaret graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Communications & Journalism
