Bernard McNamara

VP Placement

Bernie is a member of the McCombs MBA Class of 2027, concentrating on Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship, and currently serves as VP of Placement for Venture Fellows.

Prior to McCombs, Bernie worked as Product Director at a fast-paced, venture-backed solar technology company specializing in solar-powered backlit displays. He led product engineering, sourcing and supply chain strategy, and collaborated closely on go-to-market initiatives- helping scale the business into a seven-figure revenue company. Bernie is excited to carry his operator mindset into investing through his internship at Moonshots Capital.

Bernie earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Christian University, but is originally from Sterling, MA. Outside of work and school, he enjoys golf and spending time outdoors, and is an active member of both the MBA Golf Association and the Graduate Business Adventure Team.
