Malik Osumah
VP Recruitment
Malik Osumah is a member of the McCombs School of Business MBA Class of 2027, concentrating in Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship. In addition to serving as Vice President of Recruiting for Venture Fellows, Malik is a MIINT Impact Investing Fellow, a Consortium Fellow, and Vice President of Memberships & Alumni for the Sports, Entertainment, and Media Association.
Prior to McCombs, Malik spent five years at monday.com, where he held a variety of operator roles across customer-facing and technical functions. He was part of the team during the company’s IPO in 2021. While at monday.com, Malik was elected Employee Resource Group Leader for Black employees, where he helped build community, advocate for inclusive practices, and support professional development initiatives across the company.
Malik is originally from the Northeast, having grown up in Connecticut, and lived in New York City following his undergraduate studies at Providence College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing. In his spare time, Malik enjoys traveling, exploring Austin’s startup and venture community, and writing Da Greater Fools, a newsletter focused on venture capital, technology, and emerging trends.
