Rory East

VP Recruitment

Rory is a member of the McCombs MBA Class of 2027, concentrating in Strategy and Private Equity. He serves as VP of Recruitment for Venture Fellows and is also active in McCombs’ Graduate Consulting Club and Texas Veterans in Business.

Prior to McCombs, Rory served for 12 years in the British military as an officer in the Royal Marine Commandos, deploying multiple times to operational theatres across Africa, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. He subsequently transitioned to the media industry, spending the 18 months immediately prior to business school managing the personal and professional affairs of an A-list British actor.

Originally from New Zealand, Rory holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Business and Management from Northumbria University. He enjoys trail running, board games, and finding new reasons to take road trips via Buc-ee’s.
